Description

This is a well made pump that is easy and reliable.

These are compressed air driven pumps that require 13CFM free air delivery (8-10bar output) or greater. Smaller air compressors will work but pumping speed will be slower. We recommend the use of three phase air compressor. Alternatively if you only have single phase then multiple single phase compressors will also work. Ensuring you have clean, dry air supply will ensure your pump seals will last a long time.

If you have clean and dry air you will be able to pump 10s of thousands of kg of gas with this pump before needing to replace seals.

This pump does not include, compressed air supply (air compressor), high pressure hoses or scales. These can be purchased locally from your local Pirtek or other hose supplier.

Instructions:

1. Attach compressed air supply to the pump but do not turn on. (7-10bar)

2. Connect the CO2 inlet and outlet hose to the pump (the inlet hose should be minimum 3/8" in size and preferably 1/2", the output hose can be 3/8" or 1/4")

3. Prime the pump with liquid CO2. In order to do this you need to allow enough CO2 flow through the pump from your bulk cylinder so that liquid CO2 is exiting out the pump can be confirmed to be liquid visualy. (You should be able to see flakes of dry ice spraying out the hose).
NOTE: You must have the inlet hose on the pump connected to the liquid withdrawal side of the bulk tank.

4. Place your empty cylinder that you would like to fill onto the weight scales, remove the RPV valve and empty cylinder.

5. Attach the outlet of the pump hose to the empty cylinder and tare the scales.

6. Turn on the air supply and the pump will start to cycle.

7. Constantly monitor the weight reading on the scales and turn off air supply once the desired weight has been reached.

NOTE: The life of the seals and ongoing maintenance of the pump will be determined by the quality of your air supply. If you are pumping cold CO2 from a cryogenic tank the cold gas can freeze water droplets in your air supply. These frozen droplets of water will quickly damage the seals and o-rings in the pump. For this reason we highly recommend a source of dry and well filtered air. If you supply good quality air your pump will deliver hundreds of tons of CO2 before needing any maintenance.
