An expensive lesson - not recommended
""I bought this lid and a 2-inch tri-clover bulkhead to connect a 2-inch column. When it arrived in the mail, I almost burst into tears seeing how thin the lid actually is (approx. 0. 8mm) and that the bulkhead has a 35mm inner diameter. I paid €67 in total for all of this, including shipping. I put the bulkhead aside in a corner for better days. Then I bought a 2-inch ferrule and took it to a professional TIG welder (if you're not from the trade, it's better not to weld this yourself, as it's really delicate and mostly just 'for show'). He advised me to go with an internal weld, the kind they use in the pharmaceutical industry. . . The whole thing turned out to be an expensive lesson!I highly recommend buying a pre-made lid with a 2-inch ferrule instead. I couldn't find one in Europe, but you can get it outside of Europe for a mere €39. Thanks and best regards, Rob. ""
