This fitting is a push-in style fitting designed for quick and tool-free setup, allowing you to simply push the line firmly in from both sides until it seats. It is mainly used where a stronger, high-pressure, or leak-resistant connection is required on a rigid port, preventing accidental dislodgement under vibration or pressure spikes.

One side features a standard 8mm (5/16") duotight push-in fitting, utilizing dual EPDM O-rings for optimal sealing. The other side is a compression-adapted duotight featuring a Screw Lock collar, which allows you to hand-tighten the fitting around rigid tubing to create an extra secure mechanical grip.

It can be used on any 8mm OD rigid or semi-rigid tubing, including EVABarrier, stainless steel, or copper. For example, it secures perfectly onto the 8mm stainless steel lines on a G40.1 Glycol Chiller to ensure glycol lines remain leak-free under continuous pump pressure.

It is also ideal for mounting directly onto an oxygenation wand / carbonation wand, providing a robust connection point that withstands frequent handling during aeration or carbonation procedures.

For installation, ensure your tubing is cut clean and square using a dedicated tube cutter rather than scissors, as a straight cut ensures a proper seal against the internal O-rings. When attaching the Screw Lock side, push the tube fully into the fitting before tightening the locking collar down by hand.

This fitting line also includes a 1/4" (6.35mm) reducer option down to an 8mm Screwlock for tight spaces or transitioning between different hose sizes:

Applications & Compatibility

• G40.1: Attach directly to the stainless steel lines.
  
• Oxygenation/carbonation wand: Attach the screwlock to the end of the wand.
• Line to line: Join two 8mm OD lines together, secure in the knowledge that they are, in fact, secure.
