This is a classic ESB strain from one of England’s largest independent breweries. While it is traditionally used for English-style ales including milds, bitters, porters, and stouts, it is also ideal for American-style pale ales and IPAs.

Residual sweetness accentuates malt character along with mild fruity esters, adding complexity to the flavour and aroma of finished beers. Slight diacetyl production is common. Due to this strain’s high flocculation, the beer will finish clear and the yeast can easily be harvested from the fermenter for future use. It is common for this yeast to look coagulated

We highly recommend a Dry Ice Pack or two for your yeasts voyage OR for a short stay in our pick up lockers in the warmer months of the year.
Please choose Australia Post Express if you want to reduce the risk of transit time delay and its affect on your yeast.

Very poor customer service

"I received my liquid yeast wrapped in cryogelular and it was warm due to the fact that it was packed by the warehouse at 9:30pm on a Friday before a long weekend and sat there for 4 days before being shipped via express post and then received it on the following Friday. I understand Australia post is out of keglands control but the lack of care and poor customer service was the most disappointing. I followed this up with a phone call and was told that it is unfortunate and that is how they do things and they have thousands of orders to deal with. In the meantime I have brewed a beer that has taken 5hrs, used $22 of liquid yeast and still have a wort that hasn’t started fermenting after 80hrs. How unfortunate. Very poor customer service"
